2017 Cues and Tattoos Workshops
Formation of One, Stepping out as a soloist: It’s rule breaking time! -Friday March 31 – 5:30pm-7:30pm
As Tribal Style Improv or American Tribal Style (ATS) dancers it may not be our goal to be or become a soloist but you may want to dip your toe in the water from time to time. Lacey has found ATS soloing to be fun and freeing as she looks at our vocabulary as a jumping off point for expression and interpretation. Join her as she helps students find tricks, tips, loop holes and more to create fun, exciting, and captivating solos. In addition, we’ll discuss mood, energy and expression as our invisible formation partners and how to get to know them for a strong and more impactful performance.
Tribal Style Drills and Geometry- Saturday April 1 – 9:30am – 11:30am
Join Lacey for a 2 hour workshop focused on Florida Tribal Dance’s Tribal Style Improv family of movements inspired by Fat Chance Bellydance, Gypsy Caravan as well as their own stylings and drills to work them into interesting and inspiring shapes on stage or off. Focus will be on technique, transitions and formations.
All levels are welcome.
