Amy Sigil – UNMATA

Amy Sigil is the director of UNMATA formed in 2002, owner of Hot Pot Studios since 2005, and the creator of Improvisational Tribal Style. She is a teacher, performer, sponsor and event producer. Sigil studied bellydance in 1997 with Antara Nepa in Folsom California, then continued her studies in American Tribal Style with Shawna Rai and polynesian dance with Tyra Manuarii Calero in Sacramento California. Cues and Tattoos Intensive with Amy Sigil

 

Cues & Tattoos is thrilled to host our first intensive with the originator of ITS, Amy Sigil.

The two day intensive will feature 7 hours of instruction. This intensive is sold as a package only, please plan to attend both days.

 

OFF THE TOP MOVEMENT -Wednesday & Thursday March 29 & 30 – 10:30am-2:00pm

 

This intensive features exercises designed to inspire the true spirit of improvisation! We will be utilizing group observation to discover collective vision and dig for creative movement. Creating group pieces based on improvisational work and the process of editing and revision. All YES all the time. Bring your bravery and positive yes spirit. The end of this intensive will result in an optional performance opportunity at the Cues and Tattoos Opening Party. A unique exploration in group improvisation! Let’s make some things!

Ripped straight from the stage, wrap your head around this Sigil UNMATA Choreography.  This is a unique chance to feel what it’s like from the inside of one of UNMATA’s fiery performances!  Surgeon General’s Warning:  This product is known to the State of Hot Pot to cause sweating, laughter, tattoos and Divine Inebriation.
