Cues & Tattoos 2018 Workshops
Friday April 6th, 2018, 9:00 am -12:00 pm -Compelling Choreography Composition
Compelling Choreography Composition Creation will be discussed and explored…delving into what makes a choreography more dynamic, rich, strong and interesting…Compelling, charismatic, progressive, powerful, magnetic, dynamic and effective! Ariellah hopes to give the dancer the tools to create his or her own dynamic choreography on their own. Alongside this exploration, the dancer will learn Ariellah’s unique style of belly dance by working with her on a fusion choreography. Understand the “hows” and “whys” of her choice in music, movements, emotions, and staging.
This workshop will also work to elevate and work on technique at the same time, taking his or her dance to the next level!
Saturday April 7th, 2018, 9:00 am -12:00 pm -The Art of Disconnect: Dark Fusion Technique of Isolations vs Fluidity
Let’s go deeper into isolation work and become more fluid, and then work these qualities in tandem, to challenge ourselves and have fun with our practice!
Work with Ariellah in a unique course that asks the dancer to master and go deeper into their understanding of isolation work and fluidity, and how they relate. The dancer will receive discourse and exercises that help to create clear, strong, and more defined isolation work, involving the entire body, without losing sight of more fluid movements. Ariellah hopes the dancer will walk away with a much deeper understanding of the disconnect that is imperative in isolation work, creating fluidity, and mastering his/her art form. Conditioning, drills and combinations will make up most of the work in these workshops. This is an intermediate environment and is open to all levels that have at least 1 year or more belly dance background.
