Cues and Tattoos 2018 FAQ’s

We are so honored to be hosting the 11th year of Cues and Tattoos in Seattle! From our humble beginnings at a local community center to the center of arts and culture in Seattle, we have always worked our hardest to make this an enriching experience for everyone.

This year we have guests from 6 different nations making this a truly global event! We hope the following information will help relieve any confusion!

What? Not just improv anymore? 

We are growing to include all forms of tribal fusion belly dance! We will still have equal classes available for improvisation and fusion so no need to worry that you will be left out!

Where is the Vending/ Serpents Muse?

This year the festival will take place at the Armory Loft in the Armory building located in the middle of the Seattle Center. This is just downstairs from where our workshops take place each year.

Where can I find….?

What no program? We love trees so we are going digital. All the info you need will be on our website cuesandtattoos.com. Please check back prior to the festival for all the details.

Where will the workshops take place?

Theater Puget Sound is located on the 4th floor of the Armory (one floor above the vending area). Stairs are located at either end of the facility or there is one elevator available. Signage will be posted directing you to your workshops. The Maxwell Hotel classes will take place in the basement conference room. The Maxwell address is 300 Roy Street.

Do I need to pick up tickets for shows/classes?

No, your name will be on a list at the door. However, it’s always a good idea to have a copy of your credit card receipt. You will not be able to look up your registration on the site so please save your receipt. If you would like to pick up wrist band so you don’t have to wait in the line for the showcase or after party, you can pick those up starting at noon on Friday at the Cues and Tattoos booth.

When does registration close?

April 1st at midnight.

If there is space available in the classes you can still pay at the door. Exact cash only please: $45 for two hour classes and $66 for three hour classes. (no walk ins will be accepted at the Sword Class) Show admission can be purchased if there is still room, however the price will be higher.  If you need to sell or buy a class over the weekend we will have a board in the vending area.

 

Food? Beverages?

The Armory loft is just upstairs from a totally revamped food court that features North West inspired organic, veggie, vegan options and everything in between! There is also a vast range of restaurants with in 2 blocks of the Seattle Center campus and 3 grocery stores for all your needs. And don’t forget the mini-pineapple cupcakes and coffee at The Maxwell in the afternoon!

Transportation?

The Seattle Center is centrally located about 1 mile from downtown. Everything is located on or around the grounds!

Where can I pick up my T shirt, hoodie and tank?

Merchandise will be available at the Cues and Tattoos marketplace starting at Friday at noon. They will not be available at the instructor showcase or at the after party.
